AKVIS ArtWork is a piece of software that alters the aspect of a photo in order to make it look like a painting. It may be installed as a standalone utility, as a plugin, or as a package that includes both of them.
The standalone utility includes five painting style options: oil, watercolor, comics, pen, as well as ink and linocut. Each of them has specific painting settings, which you can modify depending on the result you wish to obtain. Preset options are available, as well. The program further enables you to modify canvas properties for each painting style, and to add text to your image, such as, for instance, your signature, or a message that can transform the picture into a postcard. A preview window will show you how the output image changes all throughout the modification process. If you wish for other pictures to be processed using the same settings, batch mode processing can be performed.
The option to transform a photo so that it gains the appearance of a painting is included in photo editors that also perform several other tasks. Nevertheless, it is appreciable that this utility successfully provides a larger number of settings, which can be modified specifically for this type of image alteration. In this way, AKVIS ArtWork allows you to transform your photo into a digital painting, while paying close attention to fine details.
Permits batch processing.
Easy to use.
Given that the utility focuses only on processing a photo so that it looks like a painting, more painting styles could be included.
